- Training vessel crews and maritime/offshore workers (STCW, OPITO & Flag approved). These include:
- Marine pilots
- Mooring Masters
- Master Mariners and Port Captains
- Technical Managers
- Merchant Ship Crew: Captain, Chief Engineer, Officers, Ratings, Crew
- Tug/Support Vessel Crew: Captain, Chief Engineer, Skippers, Ratings, Engineers
- Offshore Installation Workers: Riggers, Slingers, Banksman, Welders, HUEET, IMIST, MIST, OERTL, OERTM etc. (FLNG, FPSO etc.)
- Designing company specific training programmes – for example Local Content programmes using the South African (SAMSA) certification system.
- Developing training infrastructure or maritime training centres
- Maritime Consulting: Audits/Safety Surveys/SHEQ/Compliance
- Logistics (COVID-19 related services, Travel arrangements, airport transfers, accommodation, local transport requirements)
- Scheduling training with accredited training providers
- Financial management of training programmes including: training budget compilation, settlement of all expenses including payment of student/trainee monthly salaries/allowances, budget and expenditure control, detailed monthly reports covering all expenses incurred. All administration and expenses are centralised through one office for client convenience.
- Performance management of students/trainees and training service providers
- Regular, reliable communication between students/trainees, training providers, client and Seatrain to enhance training performance
- Managing services for Officer, Cadet and Rating training. This service includes providing additional tutoring, where required. Tutoring is provided by Master Mariners/Chief Engineers for students who may experience academic challenges with their studies towards a Certificate of Competency. Regular visits the various training/education facilities also ensure that problems are timeously identified and addressed with very limited need for involvement by the clients as Seatrain’s management and staff are sufficiently experienced to deal with these.
