In 2020, Seatrain celebrated 21 years of successful operation!
Seatrain Consulting was established in 1999 by Captain Simon Pearson, a Master Mariner and highly respected specialist in the maritime education and training field since 1978.
Since then, Seatrain has used its base in Cape Town, South Africa to assist companies in the oil and gas sector with seafarer training management and administration.
SAMTRA, the South African Maritime Training Authority, acquired Seatrain in 2016 after years of cooperation between the two organisations.
Captain Pearson continues to be closely affiliated to Seatrain and played a key role in the development of Seatrain’s training model.
